HEAT Announce 2012 Scholarship Recipients

MIAMI – The Miami HEAT announced today the four recipients of its 2012 HEAT Scholarships: The Alec Kessler Student-Athlete Scholarship, the Dr. Jack Ramsay Scholarship and two HEAT Scholarships. In its 16th year, the HEAT Scholarships offer $10,000 in funds to high school seniors attending school in Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach counties. The scholarships, valued at $2,500 each, are awarded based on excellent academic performance, outstanding community service, and an unmet financial need. Read the Release.

HEAT Beach Sweep

MIAMI- During NBA Green Week, Miami HEAT Legend Alonzo Mourning, the Miami HEAT Dancers, HEAT mascot Burnie, HEAT Group front-office staff, City of Miami Mayor Tomás Regalado and volunteers from his office, as well as volunteers from Duffy's Sports Grill, Canon Office Solutions, Florida International University's School of Environment, Arts and Society and representatives from Shake-A-Leg Miami led the 3rd Annual HEAT Beach Sweep, an annual effort to help preserve South Florida's environment.

HEAT Raise Over $1,000,000 for Local Charities

MIAMI – On Wednesday, March 21, the Miami HEAT Charitable Fund raised over $1,000,000 at its benefit "An Intimate Evening with Your Miami HEAT" presented by Hublot Watches. This year's gala was hosted at the Gables Estates residence of Mike and Constance Fernandez and featured a performance by Grammy Award-winning singer, author and actress Patti LaBelle.

This season, through the Humana Jams for the Cure promotion, Humana will donate $100 for every slam dunk that a HEAT player makes during each HEAT home game. To date this season, Humana has donated $12,100 to the HEAT Charitable Fund through their Humana Jams for the Cure promotion.
